post-election thoughts.

When I wrote and developed A Night Out. Trump was in office, Elle lived in the Bible Belt, and she kept herself being trans a secret to live a 'stable' life.
In the end, she couldn't hide in secret and she decided to live as herself. Regardless of how her parents, community, and society felt.
This is going to be a rough time, it already has been a rough with all the anti-trans legislation under the Biden administration that liberals have continued to ignore. Cis people have shown they do not care about us.
We need to find our communities, band together, love and support each other, and most importantly... Continue on. Live and keep thriving, regardless of what cis people do.
- I will keep living as myself. Proudly.
- I will keep telling everyone how much I love my wife.
- I will keep writing and creating art that shows trans people thriving.
- I will not stop.
Write, continue with your art, start a band, protest, be loud, be proud. I won't stop being myself, someone will have to fucking kill me before I stop.
